SELECTED PROJECT DESCRIPTIONS

2000/2001

TRIG'S FOOD AND DRUG - EAGLE RIVER, WISCONSIN
New construction comprising of 61,000+ sq. ft. This facility is designed to incorporate a northern woods exterior. Facility incorporates a pharmacy, photo lab, floral, beer & wine shop, deli and retail food sales.  Further, a banking facility with both pedestrian and drive-up service.  Building is steel frame with decorative masonry exterior. Pine log entry façade and metal roof at canopies compliment the facility and surrounding area.

1999/2000 CHRIST THE ROCK COMMUNITY CHURCH - MENASHA, WISCONSIN
This is phase one of two with phase two consisting of a 3,500 seat auditorium. Phase one consists of offices, educational areas, narthex, and 1,650 seat auditorium. Christ the Rock is a non-denominational Christian church with approximately 5,000 members. The building is located on 80 acres east of the city of Menasha. The church plans on developing recreational areas for church members and the community on the land not designated by long term facility planning for future growth.
1999 PAN-O-GOLD BAKING CO. - SUN PRAIRIE, WISCONSIN
This is a new 181,000 sq. ft. baking facility for Village Hearth bread using state-of-the-art bakery equipment for bread loaves and buns. This facility serves the Wisconsin, parts of Illinois, and Iowa market areas. The building is made completely of precast concrete walls, beams, roof and floor planks. Precast was used to minimize areas where flour, dust, etc. can accumulate causing unsanitary conditions.
1999 PHILLIPS PLASTICS - PHILLIPS, WISCONSIN
AEC was part of the design team for this 80,000 sq. ft. new custom molding facility located in Phillips Wisconsin. This building is a state of the art plastic injection molding facility. The building features a central mixing station for all raw material distribution that feeds the molding machines through utility walkways under the floor. The exterior combines glass, stone and architectural wall panels to give a clean office type look to this manufacturing facility. The building has won an American Institute of Architects award for industrial buildings.
1998 PERKINS FAMILY RESTAURANT - ARBOR VITAE, WISCONSIN
AEC modified one of Perkins' standard restaurant designs to meet State of Wisconsin building codes and the Town of Arbor Vitae zoning requirements. The owner also required various design changes to the 5,000-sq. ft. building.

ROCKWELL AUTOMOTIVE - OSHKOSH, WISCONSIN
AEC surveyed an existing 100 year old, three story facility and verified its structural capacity. We also provided full CAD drawings of all floors, and a report listing ADA and maintenance concerns.
1997 EXPRESS CONVENIENCE CENTERS - APPLETON, WISCONSIN
AEC designed a new proto-type convenience store for the Express chain to be used for all future stores. The 5,000 sq. ft. store was designed to maximize the latest knowledge about consumer purchasing preferences and how customers move through the store. Detailed budgets were prepared by AEC to verify that Express will be able to build this building within their project budget.
1996 HOIDA LUMBER & COMPONENTS - GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN
AEC provided the design for a 220,000 sq. ft. corporate Office, Manufacturing and Distribution facility. Hoida pre-fabricates various building components like roof and floor trusses as well as walls and decks. The 33,000 sq. ft. corporate offices are set up with state of the art communications and data networks.
